How can I join?  Reiners can join at the SERHA shows or by downloading the membership form and mailing it in.  Memberships are based on a calendar year.  click here for a membership form.

Where are the shows?

Both SERHA shows; The Spring Celebration and The Double Run Farm Futurity and Show are held at the Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center in Williamston, NC

For our year-end awards we also count points from The Carolina Classic, the Carolina Fall Classic,  and the Virginia Reining Horse Association shows, all held in Williamston, NC.  Affiliate qualifying shows for the NRHA NAAC program are the SERHA Spring Celebration (April) the Carolina Classic (May) and the Double Run Futurity Show (July.)

Our year-end affiliate finals for 2009 will be held in conjunction with The Carolina Fall Classic in Williamston, NC

How do I get started? 

  1. Join NRHA
  2. Join SERHA
  3. Find an NRHA licensed reining horse that you can ride
    (Rookies, Youth Rookies and Green Reiners can ride borrowed horses)
  4. Find someone to help you  - ideally a good reining trainer
  5. Start having fun!


Rookie of the Year...To compete in the Rookie 2 division you must have NRHA Lifetime earnings less than $500 at the beginning of the year and hold a current NRHA Non Pro card. You should check the  NRHA rules and conditions for current Rookie of the Year qualification procedures.
