*** Important Reminder - please read ***

You must be a member of SERHA association (both owner and rider of horse) and be in the top ten after qualifying shows to qualify to represent SERHA at the SE affiliate finals! There is no minimum or maximum shows you must attend to qualify for affiliate finals. You just need to be in top ten of the level you want to qualify for. There are three qualifying shows: Affiliate Finals Qualifying shows for SERHA will be:

  1. First Slate of Carolina Spring Classic (May 15-16)
  2. First slate of SERHA Main Event (July 4-6th)
  3. Second slate of SERHA Main Event (July 4-6th)

The SE Affiliate Finals will be in September in Williamston 25th-28th. You must designate affiliate by August 1st with NRHA. The top 8 of the Affiliate Finals will represent SE Affiliate in OKC at NAACs.

SERHA points for Year End Awards: are counted from NRHA slates at SERHA Main Event in July and Summer Ends Slide in September and again both owner and rider must be members of SERHA and for your points to count for SERHA you must have shown in 50% of the classes offered. (July 2slates and September 2slates). We look forward to another great year of Reining Competition.

Will you be Rookie Eligibile in 2014?

New Rookie levels for 2014:

Rookie earning eligibilities are being raised beginning in 2014. Beginning next year, Rookie I is any Non Pro who has less than $500 in earnings on 1 Jan 2014, and Rookie II will be any Non Pro with less than $1500 in earnings on 1 Jan 2014.
The question that had come up recently about the change was, "if I already earned out of Rookie, but would qualify under the new levels, am I now AGAIN eligible to show in Rookie."

The answer is a resounding YES. As long as you are a Non Pro who has less than $1500 in earnings, you now qualify AGAIN as a Rookie.

The other change for next year is that Rookie of the Year, which historically has been only Rookie II, will now ONLY be open for Rookie I folks.   Youth points have gone up for Rookie Eligibility also: Rookie 1 : 100 youth points (SS not to count) and Rookie 2 is now 200 Youth points (SS not to Count
